My name is Laurie Smith and I am the owner of two gorgeous Standard Poodles, Dexter and Zoey, a Standard Bernedoodle named Bernie, and one Chocolate Labrador Retriever, Nala. I was born and raised on a farm in Southern California where we had horses, cattle, pigs, sheep, chickens, dogs, and cats. At an early age, I was taught the importance of taking care of animals of all different ages, sizes, and breeds. I was responsible for bottle-feeding our cattle and pigs and ensuring that all other animals were watered and fed every day before I left for school. I have always loved animals and enjoyed their company. They are a huge part of my life and I couldn't imagine life without them.
Since my father-in-law was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease and I will be his caretaker, I have decided to end my current occupation and start a new adventure in breeding Standard Poodles, Labradoodles, and F1b Bernedoodles. I owned my own adoption service for 15 years and love helping birth mothers and adoptive families with the process of adoption. It brought me much joy and happiness. I look forward to this new adventure and all it has to offer.
Peyton Poodles & Doodles is a small family-run breeding operation that is run exclusively from our home. Our dogs are high-quality, genetically tested family pets. All dogs are on site and available for viewing. Our three females are only bred once a year to ensure full recovery post birth.
I strive to hand raise all my puppies in a clean and playful environment custom designed to promote happy, healthy, and desensitized bundles of joy.
I spend a good amount of time each day getting to know each puppy's personality and unique traits which helps me find the perfect family for each one of my puppies.
Breeding puppies is a lot of work, and very time-consuming but in the end, when they find their forever families it’s all worth it…
